Coast Region Cattle Industry Continues to Advance

Due to the importance of the State Coast Region, SADER Jalisco has channeled specific support to organized ranchers in this demarcation, where a large part of the entity's livestock inventory is concentrated.

As an example of these supports, the head of the state agency's office, Salvador Álvarez García, indicated that the Local Livestock Association of Cuautitlán de García Barragán is being encouraged with the construction of a multipurpose warehouse, in addition to two handling pens, and the rehabilitation of tick baths to control the effect of mites on livestock.

The state official argued that this municipality, with great livestock potential, has been supported to improve the operational profile of its organization, as with other organizations in the region, such as in the cases of Villa Purificación, Tomatlán, and Cabo Corrientes.

The leader of the AGL of Cuautitlán, Néstor Orozco Araiza, said that these supports are of great importance. He added that the winery will be useful in holding various events that previously cost the organization.

He mentioned that, in the case of the management corrals, which have been supported by the resources pool of the state treasury and the AGL, several communities where there are also union members have benefited, such as El Durazno, Cuzalapa, Tequesquitlán and El Vigía.

Néstor Orozco added that an awareness work has been carried out among his associates for an adequate use of the new infrastructure, so that its advantages are optimized.

This leader explained that in his municipality between 15 thousand and 20 thousand cattle are billed per year, of which an estimated 70% are calves and bulls, while the rest are heifers and others, so there is an important  contribution in the regional meat market.

In the Project for the Consolidation of Livestock Centers, SADER Jalisco contributed 1,609,000 pesos for this municipality, and the AGL of Cuautitlán de García Barragán contributed the same.
