DIF Grants Comprehensive Support for People with Disabilities

With the aim of continuing to work on projects that promote inclusion, the Municipal DIF System continues to generate support for those with disabilities.

The work is done through the Comprehensive Care Program for People with Disabilities (PAID,) where people with a disability receive care, orientation, referral, comprehensive services, orthopedic devices, and the repair and adaptation of their orthopedic devices.

In coordination with various foundations and the donations and volunteering of people with a big heart, through DIF the delivery of orthopedic devices is managed to people with disabilities of the elderly, adults, children, and adolescents; such as wheelchairs, canes, crutches, walkers, among others that are required to make their lives and mobility a little easier.

In addition, they are provided with food support, medicines, basic necessities, among others, in order to help the economy of their homes during the pandemic to those who require it, in conjunction with the Social Work area.

Currently, the DIF System also has a small workshop to carry out repairs and adapt orthopedic devices to suit people's needs, making them easier to use and preventing any postural alteration.

Attention is also provided with the offering of free sign language classes, and if people require psychological care, they are referred to the Specialized Attention Center in Family Therapy, where they can receive comprehensive support at no cost.

Disabled persons who require attention can go directly to the facilities of the DIF central offices located in Paseo de las Palmas S/N, in the colonia Santa María, or to request information you can call 322 2259936 Ext. 192.
