Walmart and DIF Deliver Food and Houselhold Items to Needy Families

With the support of big-hearted people, DIF and local companies team up to help out some of Puerto Vallarta’s neediest families.

On this occasion, the organization received donations of frozen food and other items from the Walmart chain, and they were distributed among civil associations, users of the programs, and in neighborhoods.

Thanks to the people and companies with great hearts that, with their donations in kind, join together by teaming up with the Puerto Vallarta DIF System, to continue with the noble work of helping the families of the municipality that need it most, including people under the protection of civil associations.

With the alliance and trust in the DIF family, the Walmart chain delivered donations of frozen and non-perishable foods such as frozen foods, pantry items, meats, juices, ice cream, paper and cleaning products, among other things that were distributed among vulnerable sectors and groups of the municipality.

The contribution of the private initiative was delivered to civil organizations and altruistic bodies such as Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza, Casa Hogar Máximo Cornejo, Fundación Impulso de Águila, as well as the rehabilitation centers Mamá Luisa, Fundación Emmanuel and Desayunos por los Niños de Vallarta.

Likewise this support was provided, along with the pantries distributed daily by the Social Work area, to needy families determined through a socio-economic family study. In the same way, the products were sent to the sector coordinators of the Directorate of Social Development, so that in turn they could be distributed to vulnerable families from different neighborhoods of the municipality.
