Last week we wrote an article about Allegra, a girl who has a dream of getting into college, but needs a little help financially.
Unfortunately similar to the story about the little girl who has plans to take over her grandpa’s tire shop, some people are saying Allegra’s story might be a scam to collect money, so of course I had to get the real story. A couple days ago I contacted her, and after a little bit of talking and scheduling we set up a time so I could call and interview her. And, as it turns out, and as like before, those assumptions were incorrect.
Allegra Rubboli Ramirez is 18, and turning 19 on December 23rd, and she has a dream of getting into University of Buenos Aires to become a teacher. She’s seen many other people go to the university, and from what she’s researched and heard she has decided that it is the best place for her to complete her studies. And, although she has already been accepted, she still needs some financial help.
Allegra has always been a hard-working person who never gives up, and once she sets her mind to something she sticks to it. Since she was 14 she was helping support her mom, and even before that she always tried to take care of her and her grandmother until 6 years ago, when her grandmother passed away. At 16 years old she got introduced to Amigos de la Cruz, and started volunteering there with the kids. She really liked being with them, and their fun and creative little minds, and when she got offered to teach she was more than happy to accept. Now, a couple years later, she earns a small income and still continues to always help her mom out whenever she can.
If Allegra can raise the funds to attend the University she will be going for four years. She has been a creative and artistic person all her life, and has written many stories. One of her goals is to try to get a couple books published, since she already has them written. And once she finishes school she wants to open up her own little school! She really loves teaching, and from teaching she loves what she can learn and share! She is truly a giver.
So, that’s the real story. Allegra is an almost 19-year-old who has a dream to go to University of Buenos Aires, publish a couple books, and then continue on to open her own school. But, she just needs a little help to accomplish this. So, I am asking you, please help this girl out!
