Masked Heroes of the Wrestling World Assist in Vaccinating the Elderly

“Surprised,” 73 year-old Mrs. Guadalupe Ríos said to herself, who upon arriving at the Metropolitan Macrocenter of Vaccination in the Benito Juárez Auditorium was received and supported by a masked wrestling character.

“I feel very good that people like them are supporting those of us who need help to get vaccinated faster. I congratulate you all for bringing more hands, as you serve us faster and in a better way, ”said Guadalupe Ríos.

This morning wrestlers attended the vaccination module to help elderly people with reduced mobility to get through and thus speed up the process. "We come from different parts of the Mexican Republic to bring help altruistically. Jalisco is the first State that summons us to carry out these activities, which is very good for all of us since we owe ourselves to the people and this is a joint effort of society and government,” said the Son of the Third Villain.

The fighter invited all adults who attend to be vaccinated to present themselves 10 minutes before their appointment to avoid crowds within the facilities "and that everything goes on improving and progressing so that everything goes in the best way."

The wrestlers who on this occasion were supporting the adults were El Hijo del Villano Tercero, Cachorro Lagunero, Crixus, Cris Skin, Persa, Daredevil, Micro, Super Estrella, Vikingo, Obelisk and the micro stars Gallito, Micro Ángel and El Handsome.

Ángel Israel Nuño Bonales, Director of Health Promotion of the SSJ, pointed out that vaccination in Jalisco proceeds in an agile way thanks to the Jalisco Vaccination Model of medical appointments, "which has allowed to end the long waiting lines to be vaccinated. People are coming at their time, and they are coming in an orderly manner, which has allowed a greater number of people to be scheduled."

The official said that the vaccine has been widely accepted in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, and works under this same Jalisco Vaccination Model, which is unique in the entire country.

Mario Javier Barriga Moreno, coordinator of the Metropolitan Vaccination macromodule installed in the Benito Juárez Auditorium, mentioned that on this occasion there were 12 masked heroes who participated voluntarily, and added that the doors are open for those who decide to support by volunteering. In this module, 12,000 doses have been applied per day on average.

"Anyone who wants to join this dynamic, artists, celebrities, wrestlers, athletes; are more than welcome and help comes in handy. The intention is to make this experience much more pleasant and lower the waiting times that are on average around 35 minutes, so any support is more than welcome.”
