Jalisco Continues to Deliver Support to Businesses Affected by Hurricane “Nora”

A total of 211 merchants from the interior of the state were benefited with the support of an overall 1,927,600 pesos granted by the state.

The Government of Jalisco, through the Chief of Cabinet and the Secretariat for Economic Development (SEDECO,) continue with the delivery of economic support to merchants affected by the passage of Hurricane Nora, in the municipalities of Cabo Corriente, Tomatlán, and Cihuatlán Jalisco.

The ceremonial handover acts were headed by the General Director of Government Management, Verónica Jiménez Vázquez and Francisco Gonzalez Rendón, head of the State Promotion Council.

Likewise, the municipal presidents of the beneficiary mayors attended, Miguel Ángel Silva Ramírez, president of Cabo Corriente; Daniel Ruiz Benavides, president of Tomatlán; and Jorge Eliseo Salas Chávez, president of Cihuatlán.

The support provided reached up to 10,000 pesos per trade and is given as a grant by the state with no repayment obligations. The transfers supported were for various businesses that were damaged in the storm including food stores, groceries, restaurants, clothing stores, pharmacies, mechanical workshops, tire shops, car washes, hardware stores, blacksmiths, carpenters, handicrafts, stationeries, aesthetics, flower shops, hotels, gyms, and toy stores.

In the municipality of  Cabo Corriente, 21 merchants benefited, for a total of 205,000 pesos; In Tomatlán 38 merchants benefited, with a total of 293,100 pesos, and in Cihuatlán there were 152 merchants who benefited for a total of 1,429,500 pesos.

The support provided will work for the beneficiaries for the recovery of material in their businesses.

With these actions, the State Government reaffirms its commitment to support all the families that were affected by the rains that have occurred in the State.
