Fashion Startup Lab Starts Tomorrow; Still Scholarships Available

The Open Innovation Platform, PLAi, launches the ninth generation of Fashion Startup Lab, ‘Your Business ALWAYS in Fashion.’

It is a 100% virtual program to facilitate the emergence of entrepreneurships or fashion businesses. The open platform will award a 30% scholarship to each team that registers before August 25.

Fashion Startup Lab, founded in 2015, is the first fashion incubator in Mexico, launching more than 50 Mexican companies to success through linking, training and digitization. It offers assistance to businesses in their take-off stage to help them grow within the market, thus promoting entrepreneurship in the region.

The diploma consists of eight modules that will be taught over five months, and aims to facilitate the emergence and growth of entrepreneurships or businesses in the fashion industry, providing assistance so that new companies survive and grow during their takeoff stage.

In addition, Fashion Startup Lab works in alliance with Fashion Group International MX in order to provide participants with greater opportunities to develop within the fashion sector in Mexico.

Entrepreneurs who are interested in being part of the ninth generation of Fashion Startup Lab, must enter the website to register and obtain an appointment for an interview in which the viability of the projects will be evaluated. The diploma will be carried out in a 100% virtual modality, and they can obtain a 30% scholarship that the Open Innovation Platform will grant to each team that requests it. The program includes interactive sessions with experts, online content, one-on-one mentoring, networking events, and an e-commerce congress.

What does this training program offer?

  1. Specialization in the Fashion Sector
  2. Methodology designed for creative industries
  3. Community of more than 3,000 members of the sector
  4. Links with leaders, suppliers and companies in the sector

For PLAi, it represents the opportunity to provide support to mitigate the effects of the health contingency, and for the economic reactivation of one of the sectors that contribute significantly to the economy of Jalisco. In this sense, it seeks to promote the development of new businesses in the fashion industry and benefit entrepreneurs through training in innovation.
