“It is an award whose purpose is to recognize the scientific work, technological development, innovation, and dissemination in different stages of the professional life of our science and technology innovation community. What it intends is to favor and stimulate scientific work,” explained Pompa.

This year there are seven categories in which candidates can participate, both individually and collectively:

"Despite the fact that last year we were restricted by the issue of Covid, the scientific community was very active and brought very interesting proposals," she commented.

The director of the State Council of Science and Technology, Francisco Medina Gómez, pointed out that the award is in its 20th year this 2021, which was the creation of the State Law of Science and Technology and Innovation. He recalled that Jalisco was the first state to create legislation in this regard.

"The award recognizes the talent of Jalisco and all those who strive to generate knowledge, spread it among their peers, and disseminate it to society in general," he mentioned.
