All You Can Eat Meat For Under 6 Dollars

All You Can Eat Meat For Under 6 Dollars

Today we went to PKDO for the breakfast buffet.

Hello, again. My dad and I, and sometimes my mom comes along too, have been going out on the town to find some of the best not so popular cheap eats, mostly family-owned, restaurants that we can find. We go out almost every day, finding some new little place, or big place, to tell you about and review the food and prices.

Today my family and I wanted to go some place for breakfast, and my dad mentioned PKDO, and that they had a cheap breakfast buffet. We agreed to go try it out as none of us had been there before. As my dad was driving up I noticed how huge it was, and how there was a lot of land and nice shady trees both behind and beside it. It is located on Avenida Francisco Villa #895B in Las Gaviotas, across the street from the really big old tree. Their longitude latitude location is 20.635659833156616, -105.22432609207398.

PKDO serves burgers, nachos, wings, french fries, and other snacks and meals. They have a lot of sports bar-type foods, but they also have Mexican, such as tacos, quesadillas, guacamole, and burritos, and grilled meat. Their specialty is grilling and smoking meat, and they have a good variety of choices. And they have a full bar and are open really late, until 4:00a.m.! We went to their breakfast buffet, which is 99 pesos, and there wasn’t a very large variety of food, but what they had was pretty good. They had pancakes with options of jelly and/or syrup, a variety of chopped fruit, there was scrambled eggs with ham, build-your-own chilaquiles, refried beans, chicharon in a green tomatillo sauce, meat with onions and peppers, machaca, and included coffee. Any other drink you have to order separately, but that’s totally fine since the prices are pretty decent.

They also have a lunch buffet, which they started setting up as we were leaving. At this buffet you get all you can eat ribs, chicken, chorizo, and sirloin for 119 pesos! There's also other sides like beans, rice, and a lot of sauces!!

The first plate I got was scrambled eggs with some fruit. The fruit was papaya, melon, and pineapple and they seemed really fresh and sweet. The eggs were properly cooked, salted nicely, and the pieces of ham were cut into perfect pieces. After the first plate I got refried beans and a small portion of chilaquiles with lottttts of sauce. I also put a whole bunch of queso fresco and onions on top of that. The chilaquile sauce was really tomato-y but it also had pretty good onion and garlic flavor. It was overall a pretty good sauce, coming from someone who used to be obsessed and very picky about chilaquiles. Lastly, I got myself a pancake with syrup and whole bunch more fruit. It was sooo soft and fluffy, and once again the fruit was super fresh and enjoyable.

My parents sampled several plates, trying a little of everything. My dad said the food was pretty good, nothing fancy, but not bad. Though, my dad did talk with the man grilling meats for the lunch buffet later, and he got to taste the ribs, which he says were delicious!

The place itself makes it totally worth going to, any day any time. It’s verrry large and open so there is a fresh breeze constantly going through the place. And there are always tables and chairs dis-occupied so if you have a large group or party you can put them together. This place is really spacious for any family or any group! But, what’s better than the size is the live music everyday. Most of the time they’ll play banda, but even if you don’t enjoy that it’s always a really fun and lively environment. The day we went a very talented singer and keyboard player called Moka were playing, and they actually sung an infant song, La Vaca Lola, for a little girl who had requested it. And as they were leaving they sung Have You Ever Seen The Rain for us Americanos.

I also want to add that PKDO has an amazing kids area, so once again, it would be a great place to come for a birthday. They have a big blow-up bounce house with a couple tunnels between blow-up poles, typical stuff for a bounce house. But all the kids on it seem to have so much fun!! They’re all laughing and giggling and then they run over to the other play area, which has a couple swings, a couple slides, some climbing boards, and a grassy area. It’s just like they have at a park!! Overall, PKDO is just a place for everyone to come and have fun, and have some pretty good food or drinks.
