Cheap for What You Get Sushi at Sushiro

Cheap for What You Get Sushi at Sushiro

Today we went for some delicious sushi and Japanese food from Sushiro.

Hello, again. My dad and I, and sometimes my mom comes along too, have been going out on the town to find some of the best not so popular cheap eats, mostly family-owned, restaurants that we can find. We go out almost every day, finding some new little place, or big place, to tell you about and review the food and prices.

A couple days ago someone requested on Facebook that I visit a cheap sushi place, so we decided to go to Sushiro in Aralias II today. Now, we know there are different sushi places that are cheaper, but cheaper places mean lesser quality ingredients, and with sushi quality matters, and we wanted to stay in the range of good quality. So, in comparison, no, it’s not the cheapest place, but compared to other sushi of the same quality, it is pretty cheap! They are located on Avenida Las Torres #141 in Aralias II. The longitude latitude location is 20.642732650770025, -105.21509608733571. They also do delivery within a 3-kilometer distance for free, or elsewhere in PV for a small fee.

Sushiro serves, obviously, sushi, but also other Japanese foods as well. I counted 30 sushi rolls off of the menu, but there may be more or less, and a whole bunch of other foods. They have something called a lollipop, which my dad has gotten in the past, and it’s like 3 very large pieces of a sushi roll on sticks drenched in a green aquachile sauce. And some of the other things that they serve to eat are tostadas, soup, rice, pasta, hand rolls, etc. They have such varied foods that I wouldn’t call it a sushi restaurant, I would call it a Japanese restaurant. And there’s also a full bar so they have lots of drink options, and they have a special mixology menu.

You always get a complementary appetizer of 4 fried wanton strips with a delicious sweet crab salad on top, and they are super good, but a little sweet, so my dad and I always add some siracha to them. We also ordered a dragon ball to share as an appetizer, and it turned out to be so much bigger than we thought and was really good!! The dragon ball is a deep fried rice ball with shrimp and some veggies in the center, and some of the crab salad on top, witch actually adds a lot of flavor! We just ordered it to snack on, but it was large enough it could have been a lunch entrée.

After the dragon ball, which itself was quite filling, the rest of our lunch came. I got a Spicy Tuna Crunch roll. It had crab salad, avocados, and rice on the inside and then was covered in seaweed and dipped in tempura and fried to a nice crunch. Then they sliced it, and on the top of each piece there was a big pile of spicy tuna and some sesame seeds. The tuna tasted really fresh, and the rest kinda blended together and mostly tasted like rice, so I added a bit of siracha and unagi sauce, and then it tasted sooooo good. The seeds added a little bit of nutty-ness, which was a perfect compliment!

My dad got yakimeshi, which is like Chinese fried rice, with seafood. The rice they use is actually imported from China and is sticky, similar to sushi rice, and has a nutty flavor, which my dad loves. Also, it had a whole bunch of calamari, octopus, and shrimp. My mom got a Kun Especial roll. It had cream cheese, breaded shrimp, avocado, furikake, and ebi, and was also dipped in tempura and fried, and topped with anguila sauce. If you like sweet and creamy, you can’t go wrong with that combination. And she absolutely looooooved the Dragon Ball.

Sushiro is a really big place and has a lot of room. There are a lot of tables outside, where there is a fresh breeze, but there is also a giant air-conditioned room. And there is a private room for meetings or private gatherings, and a kid’s area so the kids can go play while you enjoy your meal.
