12 Big Oysters For 3.5 Dollars At Oyster Mariscos

12 Big Oysters For 3.5 Dollars At Oyster Mariscos

Today we went out for some fresh oysters at Oyster Mariscos.

Hello, again. My dad and I, and sometimes my mom comes along too, have been going out on the town to find some of the best not so popular cheap eats, mostly family-owned, restaurants that we can find. We go out almost every day, finding some new little place, or big place, to tell you about and review the food and prices.

Today my dad wanted to get some oysters or other seafood, though I didn’t really want seafood. But I’ve chosen most other times, and it was only fair to go somewhere that my dad wanted to go, so we went to the seafood strip in Pitillal. As we drove down it we looked at the different restaurants and ended up stopping at Oyster Mariscos. They’re a tiny little restaurant located on Calle 5 De Mayo in Paseo De La Ribera and their latitude longitude location is 20.64923844883605, -105.21308147240087. And they also do deliveries everywhere in Puerto Vallarta for a pretty cheap fee.

Oyster Mariscos serves, obviously, mariscos, or seafood, and they offer a good variety. They have oysters, tostadas, burritos, cocktails, tacos, and more. There are quite a few different tostadas, including ceviche; and for the tacos, quesadillas, and burritos there are about 4 options, and for the cocktails you can choose the meat, the temperature, and the size. So there’s a lot of options for everything!

I got a shrimp burrito, and it was delicious! Now, I can’t say it was the best burrito ever, but it was pretty good! The shrimp was all super soft and well cooked, and all the veggies were cooked to perfection! It had poblano peppers, which aren’t spicy, tomatoes, and onions. The shrimp and glazed onions and peppers combined with the cheese gave it a kinda sweet flavor. And it had so much cheese!. When I got to the bottom of my burrito I thought I had eaten all the fillings, but then I took a bite and the bottom was full of cheesy goodness! It was a yummy surprise!

My dad ordered a lot of food; he ordered oysters, a small cocktail, and a ceviche tostada. He thought he was only going to get a few oysters, since the order cost only 70 pesos, but they brought him a full dozen! I do not enjoy slimy raw oysters the consistency of egg whites myself, but my dad loved them. And the small cocktail wasn’t very small at all, and had a pretty good amount of shrimp and chopped veggies, so it was hard for my dad to finish! In fact, he didn’t even finish half of it. The ceviche tostada he ordered was so large and tall that even after eating it, so much had fallen off that he was able to make another tostada, which was the size of an average tostada you get served at other places.

Oyster Mariscos is a pretty small place, like I said before, but there is plenty of room. They have a bar with a few stools where you can sit, or you can sit at one of the many tables they have. The space is quite narrow but they make the best of it and somehow make it seem pretty room-y!
