DIF Supports Health Care for Puerto Vallarta Citizens

DIF Supports Health Care for Puerto Vallarta Citizens

In collaboration with the Clínica Blauton México, DIF Vallarta offers audiometry exams and low cost hearing solutions.

Continuing to provide care for the most vulnerable social groups, the Puerto Vallarta Municipal DIF System provides care and support to people with partial or complete hearing disabilities to improve their quality of life, through the Regional Rehabilitation Unit located on Avenida Paseo de las Palmas in sunny Puerto Vallarta.

For people who require the service, the audiometry exam is offered with a make-up fee that will be used to support more families. Once the study is carried out, any hearing device required by the user will be at low cost.

The hearing care cabinet service is available to all the citizens of the region, through the assistance agency, with the aim that more people can have their adequate hearing aid at an affordable cost.

The specialists attend to one person per hour, by appointment, following the hygiene measures for the staff and the user, from 8:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday. Also, during this week will be provided on Wednesday and Friday the attention to the personnel in the Municipal Administrative Unit.

Those interested can request more information and their appointment by calling 322 224 09 82 and 322 224 05 95. The attention will be provided inside the Regional Rehabilitation Unit (URR), located on Avenida Paseo de las Palmas S/N, Colonia Barrio Santa Maria.

Additionally, DIF supports vulnerable sectors with medical certificates, with special attention to persons engaged in various study programs.

With the aim of continuing to provide care to users who require it, the System for Integral Development for the Family (DIF) of Puerto Vallarta, through the Social Work area and through various collaboration agreements with medical authorities and laboratories, supports with discount certificates to vulnerable sectors of the municipality.

For the delivery of support, people go to the facilities of the health care agency, for medical assessment and a socio-family study, to obtain a valid certificate for laboratory studies, consultations, medical examinations, or what they may need according to their health issue.

Some of the health institutions that are working with the DIF System, for the benefit of people who require medical attention, are: Diagnosti-k, Central Diagnostica California, Santo Domingo, Laboratorio Cilva, Imaging, Salud Digna, and Hospiten Vallarta.

DIF continues to provide care to the general population from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., prioritizing vulnerable groups such as older adults, single mothers, pregnant women, and the disabled, among others.
