Hilton Re-opened The Empty Building South of Vallarta

Hilton Re-opened The Empty Building South of Vallarta

This last Tuesday a couple cruiser friends came to town so we went to a trip to Mismaloya, but on the way we also noticed that the old empty building was open, running, and quite beautiful!

The Hilton Vallarta Riviera officially opened Aug. 16 as Hilton continues to expand its all-inclusive footprint in Mexico. All of the accommodations at the 444-room resort feature walk-in rainfall showers and private balconies and terraces overlooking the Pacific coastline. It also features the oceanfront Eforea Spa, where guests can receive treatments while enjoying beach vistas. There are two infinity pools and multiple dining options, including Italian restaurant La Luce and Maxal for Mexican cuisine, in addition to a half dozen cocktail bars.

The Puerto Vallarta resort also boasts 26,000 square feet of event space that can accommodate up to 1,100 people, including nearly 10,000 square feet of outdoor space.

The Hilton Vallarta Riviera is managed by Hilton, developed by Parks Hospitality and owned by Fibra Uno.

"With this newest addition to our rapidly growing portfolio in Mexico, we reinforce our commitment to continued expansion in both the all-inclusive segment and in one of the most desired leisure destinations in Latin America," Danny Hughes, Hilton's executive vice president and president of the Americas segment, said in a statement.

The Hilton Vallarta Riviera All-Inclusive Resort is the latest opening in a series of all-inclusive properties from the company coming to Mexico. The Yucatan Resort, Playa del Carmen, part of the Tapestry Collection, opened in May, and the all-inclusive Hilton Cancun is slated to open in the fall.

Hilton currently has a systemwide portfolio of more than 70 properties in Mexico, including the Conrad Punta de Mita on the Riviera Nayarit and the Hilton Puerto Vallarta Resort in the Banderas Bay area.
