Authorities Ready for a Safe Election Day

Security authorities of the three levels of government are in permanent session ahead of the Election Day on June 6.

As has happened since the beginning of the electoral process, coordination between the different federal, state, and municipal instances has been uninterrupted, with the aim of bringing the elections to fruition in our entity. 

Aware of the importance of next Sunday's day, priorities have been established in each of the security and law enforcement corporations in the state. For this reason, as part of the planning of the surveillance operation, the operational personnel of the State Security Secretariat, the Municipal Police Stations, and the State Prosecutor's Office, will suspend permits and rest days to have all of their troops available for patrolling and surveillance tasks in the 125 municipalities of the entity. All officers will have their right to vote, and each corporation will program the facilitation for this.

Similarly, in this task of preserving security in the state, the Secretary of National Defense, the Secretary of the Navy, and the National Guard will join the operations with the personnel available in each of the corporations.

In these surveillance tasks, the Urban Shield C5 will also have a role in the strategy, with video surveillance tasks in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, operation and monitoring of the state radiocommunication network, as well as attending the line of emergency 911 and the 089 anonymous whistleblower line throughout the state, thanks to the CALLE Emergency Call Center. Similarly, the CNI National Intelligence Center will take an active part during this inter-institutional working group.

A fundamental part is the participation of the Electoral Crimes Prosecutors' Offices and the electoral authorities themselves, both federal and state. All of them are part of this permanent session, which aims to guarantee that all participants on election day have the guarantees to do so freely and safely. 

It should be mentioned that the State Prosecutor's Office has a collaboration agreement signed with the Attorney General's Office to carry out coordinated work on electoral crimes, keeping contact with the Electoral Crimes Prosecutor to the effects related to the crime of the common jurisdiction. 

This is how the authorities of the three levels of government declare themselves ready to implement the coordinated surveillance operation providing a safe Election Day of Sunday, June 6.
