Vigilance and Security Strengthened in Puerto Vallarta

With the arrival of high season and economic reactivation with the expectation of a high tourist influx in Puerto Vallarta, it was agreed to increase the presence of security in the municipality.

This morning in the Eighth Naval Zone, state, federal and municipal authorities held a meeting in which it was defined to tighten the existing coordination between the different security agencies during the coming weeks.

The General Strategic Security Coordinator, Ricardo Sánchez Beruben, highlighted the importance of maintaining coordinated actions for the benefit of the inhabitants and tourists of this destination, in times of great expectation of economic recovery.

“We must face this new economic reopening, and facing it means working hand in hand with the municipality, state, and federation to guarantee that each and every tourist, as well as the people of Vallarta, have these security guarantees.”

The Secretary of Security, Juan Bosco Pacheco Medrano, confirmed

that the State Police and the Highway Police Station reinforced surveillance in Puerto Vallarta as of this Friday.

The action aims to improve security in this city and port for the benefit of the inhabitants, as well as for those who visit this destination for recreational, work or business reasons.

“We have personnel from the Highway and State Police deployed in coordination with the agencies already mentioned. The objective is to protect the tranquility of the people of Vallarta, for which they will be making tours on bicycles, motorcycles, as well as four-wheeled vehicles.”

The police presence is carried out in strategic points located in the tourist area and the urban area, with actions focused on the inhibition of criminal behavior, and the prevention of accidents and situations that may put people's integrity at risk.

These actions are carried out in coordination with municipal authorities, such as the Puerto Vallarta Preventive Police Station, as well as with the National Guard, the Mexican Navy, and the Secretariat of National Defense, for which meetings have been held with representatives of each institution.

The Secretary of State Security carries out constant actions to meet the demands of citizens and create safe environments that allow the integral development of people.
