"Audiovisual Training Workshop for Adolescent Women" is an initiative of the Directorate of Cultural and Artistic Development to promote adolescent women in audiovisual production trades.
The program continues the work of "Culture with Focus,” one of the strategic axes of the SC.
Professional women in the audiovisual field may participate in the call, and give workshops on scriptwriting of fantasy short films and female characters, cinematographic language, production, direction, cinematography, sound language, and direct sound.
The call, launched by the Ministry of Culture of Jalisco (SC), the State Fund for the Promotion of Culture and the Arts Trust and the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica AC, will select four workshops from Jalisco and four more from the rest of the country. Pairs will be formed that will teach any of the various modules, to be held in person and virtually from September 2021 to March 2022.
The students who participate in the workshops will have the goal of developing basic tools for the creation of a script, the use of cinematographic language, concepts of framing, camera movement, color theory and lighting, as well as basic principles of sound and its contribution.
The selected workshops will receive an economic stimulus of 20,000 pesos, and each participant can apply to teach only one workshop. Participants must provide the necessary equipment and tools needed to teach them. The call is currently valid and closes on July 15. The form will request, among other documents, evidence of proven experience in the audiovisual field, links to previous work and didactic experience, as well as a proposal for thematic planning to carry out the workshop to which you apply. The workshops will have a duration of 2 months with four hours per week. The objectives and content must be specified, with a proposal for didactic material such as readings, films, and authors, among others.
