The artistic groups of 78 municipalities of the state will be participating in the Jalisco Online Cultural Festival, which began July 12 and will continue until August 15 through the different digital channels of the Ministry of Culture of Jalisco (SC).
The festival will present content from various disciplines that will be participating in a contest where the winners will receive resources for the benefit of artistic groups and their Houses of Culture.
The official inauguration took place in the Arroniz Building, in a presentation headed by the Secretary of Culture of Jalisco, Lourdes González, the Municipal President of Etzatlán, Mario Camarena González Rubio, the Director of Linkage Planning and Sector Development, Denisse Corona, and Cristopher de Alba, head of Municipal Development of the SC.
The head of the SC, Lourdes Gonzáles, highlighted that with this first edition of the festival “the municipalities show us the immense cultural wealth they have to offer us. With all that the pandemic took from us, it also gave us the possibility that these same groups could be seen outside their municipality… and (outside) Mexico."
Jalisco en Línea, in addition to being a platform to meet and exchange knowledge between artists from the interior of the State, is a window to show the work carried out in the workshops of the Houses of Culture, from which the festival's program arises. It is composed of 133 music, dance, theater, literature and visual arts activities.
There will be five daily activities starting at 7:00 p.m. Four stage presentations will be broadcast through the Cultura Jalisco YouTube channel, and there is a visual arts gallery through Instagram. On weekends there will be literary activities that will be broadcast on Facebook and Twitter.
Cristopher de Alba invited all of Jalisco to join the festival. "It is for you, from your community, to share, comment, and reach all latitudes." He also recalled that the publications with the most reactions will win first place or may be one of the five finalists per category, who will receive resources for costumes, instruments, platforms, or any need of the group or its house of culture.
Finally, Denisse Corona, the Director of Linkage Planning and Sector Development, recalled that it is very important “to continue working in collaboration between municipalities and the State Government, to promote artistic and cultural workshops, continue with training for workshop leaders, and continue working with parents and students from the workshops throughout Jalisco.”
